1986

Workmates Established

Brothers Robin and Philip Andrews establish Workmates after seeing the need for a reliable and trusted provider of workers to the construction industry. Adrian Tigg soon after joins the business creating the 3 pillars of leadership that grow the business.

1995

Daniel Owen Associates Established

As the company grew, and with considerable knowledge of the construction and engineering markets, it became clear there was a requirement for a specialist team of professional and technical recruitment consultants; so Daniel Owen for white collar roles was formed in 1995.

2005

Unity of Brands and Further Expansions

The business establishes its property services division and opens another 4 offices to meet the growing demand for its services. Also, the branding of both businesses starts to unify to help represent their large UK presence.

2015

Rebrand of group to Daniel Owen Ltd

The company completely rebrands to Daniel Owen Ltd, strengthing the business offering and further increasing their recognition for High-Quality workers and a reliable service that always Pays on Time. 

2019

Established our Northern Powerhouse

"Daniel Owen North" is established to expand across the North of England & Scotland with a local understanding of each region. Another 4 offices are opened across the North, providing 100% coverage with regional teams.

2020

LightHouse Construction Charity Commitment

We make an annual commitment to the LightHouse Construction Charity, a non-profit focusing on the wellbeing and security of UK construction workers.

2023

Daniel Owen continues to innovate and grow

After 2 record-breaking years, Daniel Owen updates the branding to represent the 'can-do' image the company always presented. Another 2 offices are also opened, with Daniel Owen continuing to provide the best UK coverage of any construction recruitment firm.

We're an Employee Owned Trust

Daniel Owen became an Employee Owned Trust (EOT) in March 2024.

With employee ownership comes a drive to make the business the best it can be.
