About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join a leading social housing provider. This is a crucial role that involves carrying out inspections, identifying damp, mould, and condensation issues, and recommending effective solutions to ensure the health and safety of tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of social housing properties to assess damp, mould, and condensation issues.
Diagnose causes of damp and mould problems and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remedial actions.
Work closely with housing officers, maintenance teams, and contractors to implement solutions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as social housing standards.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
Advise tenants on measures to reduce condensation and improve ventilation in their homes.
Respond promptly to complaints and prioritise cases based on severity and impact on tenant well-being.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices related to damp and mould management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in damp and mould surveying, ideally within the social housing sector.
Relevant qualifications such as CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment) or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of building pathology and moisture-related issues.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
A valid UK driving licence
