Job Title: Damp and Mould Surveyor - Social Housing
Location: North London
Pay: £26- £30 per hour

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join a leading social housing provider. This is a crucial role that involves carrying out inspections, identifying damp, mould, and condensation issues, and recommending effective solutions to ensure the health and safety of tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of social housing properties to assess damp, mould, and condensation issues.

• Diagnose causes of damp and mould problems and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remedial actions.

• Work closely with housing officers, maintenance teams, and contractors to implement solutions.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as social housing standards.

• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.

• Advise tenants on measures to reduce condensation and improve ventilation in their homes.

• Respond promptly to complaints and prioritise cases based on severity and impact on tenant well-being.

• Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices related to damp and mould management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in damp and mould surveying, ideally within the social housing sector.

• Relevant qualifications such as CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment) or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of building pathology and moisture-related issues.

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.

• A valid UK driving licence
