About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Disrepair Supervisor to join a reputable housing provider committed to delivering high-quality housing services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable and proactive individual to take a lead role in managing complex disrepair cases within social housing stock.

As a Disrepair Supervisor, you will oversee the end-to-end management of disrepair claims, ensuring that all works are delivered to the highest standards, within agreed timescales and in line with legal obligations and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery and resolution of disrepair claims in accordance with legal protocols and internal policy.

  • Inspect properties to assess disrepair claims, produce detailed reports, and develop scopes of work.

  • Liaise with residents, solicitors, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and timely updates.

  • Supervise in-house operatives and contractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to health & safety standards.

  • Provide technical advice and guidance on repairs, building defects, and legal disrepair obligations.

  • Ensure accurate records and documentation are maintained for compliance and audit purposes.

  • Monitor performance targets and KPIs related to disrepair case handling and service delivery.

  • Support the delivery of customer-focused solutions and continuous improvement initiatives across the repairs service.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within disrepair or responsive repairs, ideally in social housing.

  • Strong technical knowledge of housing repairs, building pathology, and legal disrepair procedures.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of landlord responsibilities under the Landlord and Tenant Act and Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act.

  • Relevant qualifications in construction, surveying, or building maintenance (HNC/HND/NVQ or equivalent) preferred.

  • Full UK driving license.
