Daniel Owen are looking for multiple Multi Trade Engineers to cover the Northern area of the GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) network.

The Company:

The company are based in southern England and began in the early 90's. They have grown significantly and now specialise in Rail, as well as a multitude of other sectors. They provide both planned and reactive maintenance and are proud to offer exceptional levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out reactive work on all types of fabric equipment on the client asset register.
  • Develop detailed drainage plans and designs for rail infrastructure projects.
  • Every 4 weeks being an out of hours call out engineer to cover all reactive faults.
  • Ensure drainage designs comply with relevant environmental and engineering standards.
  • Taking deliveries of materials
  • Complete planned maintenance works in accordance with the client specification
  • Oversee the installation of drainage systems during rail construction projects.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Address and resolve drainage issues that arise during and after construction.

Key Skills:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Be able to identify areas requiring updates or repairs.
  • Design air conditioning (AC) systems for rail vehicles and infrastructure.
  • Address and resolve AC-related issues that arise during and after installation.

  • Call out rota and standby rate for all engineering roles is one in six and £125pw
  • 20 days annual leave.
  • Auto enrol pension employee 5%, employer 3%.
  • Engineer hours 08:00-17:30 - Potential requirement for weekend work.
