Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Project Details:

• Project Sites: Health Facility
• Project Value: Approximately £35-£40 million for both jobs
• Current Project Stage: Stage 3
• Project Duration: 100-week program for each site
• Team Size: 3-5 members
• Work Arrangement: Remote work available (1-2 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management:

   • Manage all costs related to construction projects.
   • Ensure legal and quality standards are met.
   • Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities.
   • Collaborate with main contractors, clients, and professionals.

2. Cost Estimation and Planning:

   • Provide cost advice and anticipate costs of work.
   • Analyze and interpret contract terms.
   • Assess cost implications of changes during the project.

3. Client Support:

   • Support input for Date on Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
   • Assist in validating quotes.
   • Support clients' cost-related queries.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Proven experience in cost management and contract administration.
• Familiarity with NEC4 contracts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
