We are currently recruiting for a Planned Works Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading social housing provider. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that delivers high-quality refurbishment and maintenance projects.

The Role:

As a Planned Works QS, you will be responsible for the financial and commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment contracts. You'll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure cost efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing budgets, cost estimates, and tender documents for planned works projects
• Managing procurement, negotiating with subcontractors, and ensuring contract compliance
• Carrying out valuations, managing variations, and processing payments
• Monitoring project costs, preparing financial reports, and mitigating risks
• Ensuring all projects comply with industry regulations and health & safety standards
• Working closely with key stakeholders to drive project efficiency and value

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within planned works, refurbishments, or social housing
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (RICS/CIOB accreditation desirable)
• Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation, financial management, and commercial awareness skills
• Proficiency in industry software such as MS Excel, CostX, or COINS
