A leading construction company specialising in commercial fit-out and public sector projects is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the Bristol area and play a pivotal role in the delivery of complex and high-quality developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, and site conditions comply with safety and environmental policies.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and senior management to ensure project goals are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage the site progress, including conducting regular site meetings, reviewing work completed, and providing updates on any issues or delays.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available on time.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage the project schedule, reviewing progress, identifying potential risks, and taking corrective actions where needed.
  • Prepare and submit site reports, including progress updates, safety records, and quality control checks.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a strong background in commercial fit-out and public sector construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, including planning, coordination, and site management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges on site.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS Card).
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
